TEN OTHER LINCOLN CENTER VENUES BOOKED FOR 25 FASHION-RELATED ACTIVITIES

AS MERCEDES-BENZ FASHION WEEK OPENS ON SEPTEMBER 9

FASHIONATLINCOLNCENTER.ORG WEBSITE LAUNCHES TODAY

For immediate release, September 7, 2010: With the first season of shows at Lincoln Center during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week launching this week, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, the inaugural Director of Fashion at Lincoln Center, has announced the line-up of 25 other fashion-related events in ten venues around the Lincoln Center campus– some, for the consumer and open to the public, others, by invitation only – in addition to the shows on the official Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week schedule taking place in Damrosch Park.

Additionally, today Fashion at Lincoln Center launched www.FashionatLincolnCenter.org, the official website promoting year-round fashion activities at Lincoln Center. The site will collaborate with First Comes Fashion, who will provide expert commentary from their team of journalists and additional creative customized video content. In the future the two entities will work together to create interactive components that will have multiple cross-platform applications.

FashionatLincolnCenter.org showcases coverage and streaming in its online home, beginning tonight with the CBS-streamed live event, “Fashion’s Night Out: The Show.” First Republic Bank is the official sponsor of the Fashion at Lincoln Center online experience.

"Both IMG Fashion and Lincoln Center have received an overwhelming response from the fashion community expressing its excitement about the new facility and location,” said Ms. Winston Wolkoff. “The official Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week schedule holds approximately 100 shows, and we are delighted to be able to complement what is taking place in the tents with an exciting array of fashion-related events on Campus.”

The range of programming and events in Lincoln Center venues includes shows by such designers as Chris Benz, Christian Cota, Catherine Malandrino, Jill Stuart, and Rachel Roy; the celebration of

the one hundredth anniversary of trade giant, Women’s Wear Daily (WWD), marked by the publication’s collaboration with acclaimed industry talents who have crafted exclusive looks in its honor; New York City’s largest outdoor fashion show on Josie Robertson Plaza, produced by Vogue and SPEC Entertainment; and food from celebrity chefs inspired by fall fashion in the Bon Appétit Café at Lincoln Center in Avery Fisher Hall.

NBC 4 New York, a longtime broadcast sponsor of Lincoln Center, has launched “Fashion Comes to Lincoln Center,” an integrated media campaign that features celebrities and designers against a Lincoln Center backdrop. The campaign consists of TV spots that appear on NBC 4 and New York Nonstop, the station’s digital channel. Spots will also appear in PATH trains and In Taxi spots, as well as on billboards in Times Square. The campaign can also be found on www.nbcnewyork.com, as well as FashionatLincolnCenter.org

Tonight, September 7, Josie Robertson Plaza will be the location for “Fashion’s Night Out: The Show,” produced by Vogue and SPEC Entertainment. Over 150 of the industry’s top models will give over 1,500 fans of fashion a look at Vogue’s key trends for the fall. The event will be broadcast by CBS as a network special on September 14 at 10 p.m., and streamed onto www.FashionatLincolnCenter.org live, on the evening of September 7. This event is sold out. To begin to satisfy the overwhelming demand for the event, American Express is presenting a simultaneous Cardmember-Only Viewing Event and Designer Discussion for “Fashion’s Night Out: The Show,” beginning at 6 p.m. on the same evening in Alice Tully Hall. Cardmembers can purchase tickets to this one-of-a-kind live-stream experience at www.lincolncenter.org/FNO. Prior to the start of the live viewing event, Vogue’s European Editor at Large Hamish Bowles will moderate a special panel discussion featuring top fashion designers Tory Burch and Alexander Wang and additional designers to be announced.
